The Jackie Trent Guest Book
Thanks for the albums. Glad to see your a gene fan to, Ian whats your favourite Gene song?
Ian to answer your question about Baby Are You Puttin' Me On -some years ago Jackie and I were compiling tracks for a possible cd compilation and I was recording her comments, Jackie's mum came in half way through and gave her opinion on some.
When we got to THAT SONG she said and I quote "Oh I Don't Like That One, I DOn't Like That At All If It Was Anyone Other Than Jackie I'd Switch It Off.
By this time I Was helpless with laughter!!!
Having recently learned that Jackie's mum has turned 100.....congratulations..am wondering Karl..why that song shouldn't be played.
Incidently Jackie some Rock fans in the bar all loved your version of Handbags and Gladrags
İan
Hummingbird has long been a favourite of mine along with It's All In The Way You Look At Life, that is an absolutely brilliant record.
Baby Are You Puttin' Me On is a great album track, just don't play it to Jackie's mum!!!!
Whils't making a summer compilation for the bar I included When The Summertime is over....forgotten what a lovely song it is...sure on the lines of Where Are You Now...but still a lovely song in its own right.
Other Jackie Singles which still sound good
Hummingbird
Its all In the Way You Look at life
If You Ever Leave Me
And Trentquility gets played regularly in our bar....especially late on what a great album.

Hi Jackie, I've just turned 17 and my love for 60's music continues to flourish I was watching an old Australlian telehorn the other day which had you and tony singing in it.... the reason why I mention this is because I'm a big Gene Pitney fan and saw that he was on the telehorn.... I would be grateful if you could share some of your gene pitney experiences and what he was like as a person. By the way: when I was in my third year of school I used to always listen to 'where are you now?' I would love to get more of your material but it is really difficult to find. Thanks Jackie
I was at Samsun in the same time period as was Dave Matteson. Ah, yeah. You were beautiful. I never understood why you, and those like you, would visit a backwater like Samsun (Det 3-2), but I'm glad you did. I turned 70 3 wks ago. Don't know how it happened so fast. It looks like you have been very successful in this life. I hope it continues for you.
yours, Dave
