Trentquility - The Album

‘Trentquility’ is my home in Menorca. I always loved this house, well before I owned it, and the name suits my disposition to life. So there you go.

The CD really started life as a private exercise for me. In the 60’s and 70’s we turned out complete albums in four, 3-hour sessions, but ‘Trentquility’ had no commercial demands. My apologies for the many delays (I do read my Guest Book!)

THE TRACKS

I chose ‘Feels Like Home’ ‘Tea and Sympathy’ and ‘Bus To St Cloud’ to explore the depth of lyric in each of those haunting songs with my own interpretation, whilst I let rip with the raunchy ‘Misery’, taking my son Darren along for the ride in our vocal duo. I finally reached the depths of ‘Guilty’, locked alone with the mike in the recording booth, and simply ‘lived’ it. ‘Have a Nice Life’ carries the age-old ‘Mother-to-Son’ universal message and ’Home’ is simply where I hang my hat: lots of them! ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ is the classic story of life, written by Mike D’Abo so long ago. ‘Table For One’, written by my son Darren, is a private message to someone?

Time moves on and so have I. ‘Now It’s Come To That’ casts shadows on my former life and ‘Hot to Trot’ is the new ‘me.’ More of all that in my new bio – out Xmas 2010.
‘You Needed Me’ is a personal dedication to my new marriage and the new horizons ahead of me.

Now I’m ‘Trotting’ towards a new album of JT originals AND my very personal autobiography. It’s really ‘Come To That!’.
